      For this Toshiba oven, you'll need to unplug it to turn it off completely otherwise the digital control panel will stay on. Even ovens whose digital control panel would go into a 'standby' phase after a certain period of time (i.e. the Ninja Foodi XL Pro or Instant Omni Plus 18L), you'd still want to unplug them as to not waste electricity. Ovens that are 100% analog like the Cuisinart TOA-60, you won't need to unplug.

    I care more about toasting uniformity of the 4 bread sides, as long as the toasting darkness knob has enough range to go from lightest to darkest level that I need. Usually I can adjust for toasting darkness, but I cannot eliminate non-uniformity.

      Yes, we think uniform toasting is more important as well. We'll go through a few toasters to dive deeper this aspect for performance evaluation before we can make a toplist ✌️

    My new very expensive Vitamix totally sucks when it comes to any frozen fruit. I have to constantly stop and use a big spoon or something to help otherwise it just makes a loud noise and smells like it's burning. My cheap ass blender from the hardware store rocked making smoothies and that cost me less than $100. I thought I was getting the best blender possible, what a JOKE!

    Terrible review. I've had this oven for about 5 years (and got it for less than $150). It works great. Is it perfect? No. Does it brown a little more on one side (near the light)? Yes. I learned quickly to adjust to it. It has served me well and I don't have to babysit what I'm baking. The oven works great, and most importantly, it fits 13 x 9 pans most other ovens like it don't, which is why I got it in the first place. Also, it is NOT an air fryer. It's convection. I've never had an issue with french fries or anything else, including pizza. Not a fair review at all, IMO.

    You should check where the hot air is coming out and how hot the casing get at various temperatures. Most people will fit this device next to another one , not stand alone

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 9 днів тому

      Good point, we'll use an infrared thermometer to check next time. For now, although the oven has good heat insulation, the casing can still get quite hot to the touch after 400°F, especially after a long cooking time (over 15 minutes). Nonetheless, as long as you leave around 2-3 inches of space around the oven, it should be fine. But remember to not plug the oven to the same outlet as other appliances since ovens have pretty high wattage (usually around 1800 W).

      Temperature can be adjusted in increments of 5°F or 2°C-3°C. The timer, however, has different steps depending on the cooking function. For Pizza, Bake, Roast, Air Fry, Broil, Cookies, Rotisserie, and Warm functions, the timer can be adjusted in increments of 1 minute until it reaches 60 minutes, then in increments of 5 minutes from 1-2 hours, in increments of 10 minutes from 2-3 hours, and in increments of 15 minutes from 2-3 hours. For Dehydrate and Ferment functions, the timer only adjusts in increments of 30 minutes. Since my Ninja two basket air fryer these days says it cause a cancer because of Teflon inside and ,have to get one of this stainless less , I heard the bigger size of Cuisinart is not that good ,this smaller works much better

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 12 днів тому

      Yes, the top 3 toaster ovens on our list don't have an interior non-stick coating that contains Teflon, only the Breville does (as with all of their ovens). We also heard that this smaller Cuisinart model works better than the larger ones, just make sure that you don't mind the analog control.

      @HealthyKitchen101 13 днів тому

      Hey there @keystonedhemp. Thanks for watching our video and for sharing your experience. It's true that plastic mounting assemblies such as these are flimsier than the metal 3-bolt assemblies, but they can support lightweight disposals. At least, that has been our experience. If you don't like the plastic mounting parts but still want the permanent magnet motor setup, Moen garbage disposals should be more up your alley. All the best!

    • @keystonedhemp

      @@HealthyKitchen101 Yea, we have a moen at the house i did was super easy, and the waste king got super good reviews, and i got it all mounted and plumbed, but at least 4 different times it fell from the mounting it’s also somewhat flimsy when the disposal is on. The overall unit is nice, they need to rethink their mounting design, as the large plastic enclosure makes it difficult to mount. thanks for the video tho! thumbs upD it

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 12 днів тому

      @keystonedhemp that's also happened to us once. We didn't turn the disposal all the way to the end of the groove. It's the reason why we deliberately draw attention on the grooves of the mounting ring (from 0:50) as it's crucial to get the disposal to lock in tightly. Anyway, thanks again for watching and sharing with us. Hit like and subscribe to support us if you haven't already. Cheers!

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 16 днів тому

      This machine sucks haha/ It’s definitely frustrating when a machine doesn’t perform as hoped, especially for something as straightforward as making a smoothie. However, we believe the Vitamix 5200 meets our standards. Actually, it's among the best blenders we've tested.

    • @SpellJake
      @SpellJake 16 днів тому

      How do you make a soft protein smoothie after a workout to drink??

  • @SpellJake
    @SpellJake Місяць тому

    Manual work just for a smoothie in a $600 machine is kinda crazy and counterproductive 😮

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 16 днів тому

      I understand where you’re coming from-it might seem a bit much to have to manually intervene when using a high-end blender. But It's important to clarify that our testing protocol is designed to ensure fairness and consistency across all blenders we evaluate. When testing blenders like the Vitamix 5200, which come equipped with a tamper, we do indeed use the tamper as part of the test. This approach allows us to assess each blender under the best possible conditions and with all available tools.

  • @SpellJake
    @SpellJake Місяць тому

    Why you put so much? What if I want just one glass to drink I have to put so much frozen fruits??

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 16 днів тому

      The test was designed to evaluate how well different blenders perform under the specific condition of blending 2 servings of frozen fruits. This helps to ensure that the blender is tested for its capacity to handle larger volumes, which can be challenging. However, you definitely don't need to make such a full batch every time you use your blender. If you prefer just one glass of smoothie, you can absolutely adjust the quantities to suit your needs. The Vitamix 5200 is very capable of handling smaller amounts as well. J This response reassures the commenter that the blender can handle various quantities and encourages them to adapt recipes according to their individual needs.

    Did you find advantages or disadvantages of having controls on the top (like the Ninja) vs. on the side (Cosori)? I suppose that when they are at the top, you have to be careful not to burn your hands at the end of cooking. or oven reliability is reduced because the controls see more heat. I don't know if that's true.

    • @HealthyKitchen101
      @HealthyKitchen101 Місяць тому

      Great question! The digital control panel on the top being exposed to heat while the oven is running was one of our main concerns going into it as well. However, as you can see, the control panel is actually located on the handle, staying a couple of inches away from the cooking chamber, and thus stayed cool even after a few hours of cooking. We've had some ovens where the heat reaches the digital control panel, but not the ones on the best lists.

That ISE 77 has a 1/2 Hp reversaeamatic it has Cast Flywheel and cast shredder. The hammers are fixed and don't budge they are triangle and one is right next to the shredder ring the other offset , then it has the smashing spikes and other things. The Maytag is my Favorite . These monster they used to demo it with it grinding up nails this thing has a huge cast ring on it and under cutters under the flywheel that snips stringy debris. The hammers float above the flywheel on bearing and bump into a rubber stop, the only downside is no reverse on it. The Kitchenaid is just has a Cast grind ring and flywheel with huge fixed fins and there are slots that undercut the flywheel. Old Maytags and Old Waste kings are the best grinders I have every had. I also have a commercial Ise 1 Hp , commercial Bus boy 3/4 Hp and a commercial Waste king 3/4 Hp. I have had the Maytag full of steak bones and it plowed right through them no problems at all.

      Hi there! Thank you for watching our videos and sharing your thoughts. We're sorry if there was any confusion. This video demonstrates how we install the garbage disposals in our lab. Due to frequent removal of the sink flange, we've chosen not to use putty as it overcomplicates the process. Instead, we use the fiber gasket included with the mounting assemblies, which provides a sufficient seal for our tests. While it may not be as long-lasting as sealant, it’s worked to our advantage. We've decided to share this method for reference after seeing its success. We hope this clears things up a bit. Here's a link to our installation video with plumber's putty. All the best, friend. ua-cam.com/video/PZAZvluYxBc/v-deo.html

    Xio chào anh Ben Nguyen. Sao anh không đục cái miếng platic trắng ở chỗ gắn cái ống nước từ máy rửa chén vào. Cám ơn video của anh rõ ràng dễ hiểu.

      Hi there @mailee9922. Thanks for watching our video. We're glad you enjoyed it. As for the plastic plug, you should only remove it when you want to connect your dishwasher to the disposal. Otherwise, water would exit from that outlet when grinding food. Best of luck! P/s: And it's Be Nguyen, if anyone's concerned ^^

      It's very likely a calibration error, which is a problem right out of the factory. It's their fault, so if you were to call their Customer Service, they should sort you out with a new unit!

    I have the Nesco VS-12 and love it. I was surprised you did not feature the double seal option. It's unique to this sealer, I think. It does take a little longer to set a double seal. I also use it for making small bags when I need them by using scissors to cut between the double seals. They are great for single serving bags for on-the-go snacks. Thanks for the great video. It's the first one I have seen that used a vacuum meter!

      Hi David! Thank you for the comment, it's quite an oversight on our part. We weren't dealing with liquids or marinades here, so a single seal was suffice. If we ever got the chance to revisit this sealer, we'll definitely take your advice to mind!

    Two suggestions: 1. Since you are "Healthy Kitchen" could you add a vegetable such as asparagus to your evaluation? 2. To save time and work, you don't have to test every oven for everything. Start with the most basic or most important test first, for example making pizzas. Basically you are saying that any oven that cannot do pizzas well will be eliminated. Then only the top half goes to round 2, for example roasting chickens. Then only the top half goes to round 3, and so on. It's like a World Cup championship of toaster ovens 😀

      Thank you for the constant support! 1. Yes, we'll definitely add more healthy options for testing in the future. 2. Great idea. We think it could work for short-form videos. For these in-depth reviews however, we do have to make the results from each oven comparable.

      @@HealthyKitchen101 I agree that the 4 finalists should receive all tests, but I don't think all 100 models should get them. You probably had models that did so poorly on the first test, and there was no point in continuing testing them. Just an idea to simplify your testing.

      Good point. Some simple initial testing can definitely simplify the process. Thank you for the help ❤️
